Ilkley and More Bar t'at...

We had a fantastic day out in Ilkley at the Literary Festival on Saturday the 7th. October. This year we were only a Fringe Event but we managed a very respectable audience of 25 and sold some books and had a whale of a time. We all stayed over, renting a period house for the night and eating at The Riverside just across the road. The festival staff are amazing at Ilkley. The pre-event briefing is second to none and the staff are truly amazing.

We packed everything we could into a single, fulfilling day. In the afternoon we had a mass book signing at WH Smith on The Grove and spent some time out in the sunshine advertising our event and handing out flyers and brochures for the festival in general.

On the Sunday morning we all got up (remarkably) early to make sure we could get a table in Betty's for breakfast. It's never easy to gauge the eventual spin-off from this type of event but it became apparent that several good friendships sprang into being over the weekend.
